Information You Send
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the provider that operates the results service. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems keep routine logs such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use this information to operate the service, resolve technical issues, measure traffic, and improve the reference pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and search providers. Information submitted after leaving this service is governed by that destination's privacy policy. That includes sponsored results supplied by another company.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic technical data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
How We Protect Your Data
The service uses an encrypted connection and retains logs only for the purposes described above. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or user profiles maintained here.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent us information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data a website holds. Ohio has no broad consumer data-broker deletion or universal opt-out statute documented for this purpose; ORC Chapter 1354 concerns recognized cybersecurity programs and does not create a private right of action. Because we keep very little, a request generally means checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then removing material we find. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by an Ohio state or county custodian are outside our control, and requests about those records belong with that custodian.
Updates to This Policy
We will post any revision to this policy here. Continued use after a posted change indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
